Carnival Films, the makers of the extraordinarly successful television program Downton Abbey, chose Bampton, Pip's home village, to film the Downton Village scenes in the series. They chose it for the remarkably un-spoiled church square that has long been one of the greatest hidden secrets of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.

For many years Pip has painted wonderful images of the architectural gems in the region, including Blenheim Palace, giving them her unique, although some art critics say "Lowry-esque", treatment.

She has now painted six images of Bampton buildings, as well as Highclere Castle and Byfleet Manor, used in the filming of Downton Abbey, and made them available in greeting card and poster print form, as well as on four stunning mugsand a full set of high quality place mats.

These images will be a much-valued reminder of what has undoubtedly become one of the very biggest television successes of the age, and for those who live in Bampton, of the unusual experience of being in the limelight.
